5th & 6th Class Shine at Peace Proms 2026 in the RDS
On Sunday, 8th February, our 5th and 6th class students participated in the Peace Proms 2026 performance in the RDS featuring the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland,
The children joined the 100-member orchestra , under the direction of the dynamic conductor Greg Beardsell and led by Dundalk-born violinist Richie Dunne. Over 2000 school children from across the country were part of the Peace Proms choir. The students gave a confident and heartfelt performance of a diverse programme of singing showcasing their dedication, teamwork and enthusiasm. From powerful choral pieces to moments of quiet beauty, the children represented our school with pride. Favourite melodies by far were Footloose, Roar, Spread the Love Around and Sia’s Courage to change with Irish Sign Language,
We are incredibly proud of the commitment shown by all our students and grateful to our teachers and parents for their support in preparing for this special event. Peace Proms is not just a concert — it’s an experience that stays with every child, and this year’s performance was no exception.
